Kent Valentine’s show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival last year was called “What Would Batman Do?” based on the idea that Batman is a more appropriate role model than Jesus (“what would Jesus do?) because Jesus has superpowers, but Batman doesn’t and is still awesome.

I love how vague he(?) is. The humanity just sort of drains out of the story as it goes on.

I very much enjoy stories told from the viewpoint of a couch. Or any piece of well-upholstered furniture, for that matter.

And fear smells like onions.

This is another one of those stories that I find myself enjoying the more I read it. As Meg already mentioned, the inclusion of ‘but’ is quite effective and the piece wouldn’t have been the same without it. Good work.
